1. About this policy

This policy explains how Star Wards, Inc. ("Star Wards," "we," "us") uses text messaging (SMS and MMS) when communicating with executive candidates, clients, and business contacts, and how we handle the personal information involved. It applies to all text messages sent from or on behalf of Star Wards.

Star Wards, Inc. is a retained executive search firm. We do not sell consumer products, and we do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising text messages.

2. Our messaging program

Text messages from Star Wards are conversational and recruiting-related. They are sent by a person, one to one, in the course of an active discussion about a specific executive role or search engagement. Typical messages include:

• Introducing a specific executive opportunity to a prospective candidate
• Coordinating interview times, calls, and scheduling changes
• Following up on an ongoing conversation about a role or search
• Sharing status updates during an active interview process
• Responding to a message you have sent us

We do not send bulk marketing campaigns, newsletters, promotional offers, or automated broadcast messages.

3. Consent

We message individuals with whom we have an existing or developing professional recruiting relationship. Consent is established in one of the following ways:

Reply-based consent

Where we send an initial introductory message about a specific executive opportunity, that message identifies Star Wards by name, states its purpose, and tells you how to stop receiving messages. We treat your reply as your consent to continue the conversation by text. If you do not reply, or if you ask us to stop, we do not continue messaging you.

Consent within an existing relationship

Where you are already in conversation with us about a role — as a candidate, a client, or a professional contact — and you have provided your mobile number for that purpose or have exchanged text messages with us, we treat that as your consent to continue communicating by text about that engagement.

Verbal or written consent

Where you tell us during a call, by email, or in writing that we may reach you by text, we record that consent and the date it was given.

4. Message frequency

Message frequency varies and depends entirely on the stage of your conversation with us. During an active interview process you may receive several messages in a week. Outside an active process you may receive none for months. We do not send messages on a recurring schedule.

5. Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Star Wards does not charge for text messages, but your mobile carrier may charge you for sending or receiving them according to your plan. Contact your carrier for details.

6. How to stop receiving messages

You can opt out at any time, at no cost.

• Reply STOP to any message from us. You will receive one confirmation message, and we will not text you again.
• You may also simply ask us to stop in your own words, by text, email, or phone. We honor plain-language requests the same as the STOP keyword.
• To resume messages after opting out, reply START or contact us directly.

8. Carriers

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your carrier and is not guaranteed.

9. Privacy

What we collect

In connection with text messaging we collect your mobile telephone number, the content of messages you exchange with us, the date and time of those messages, and a record of your consent and any opt-out request. Separately, as an executive search firm, we hold professional background information such as your name, employment history, and business contact details.

How we use it

We use this information solely to communicate with you about executive opportunities and search engagements, to maintain our records of your consent and preferences, and to comply with applicable law.

When we share it

We share information only in these limited circumstances:

• With a client, with your knowledge — where you are a candidate being presented for a role, we share your professional background with that client as part of the search. Your mobile number and message content are not shared for marketing purposes.
• With service providers — companies that operate our messaging and business systems on our behalf, under contract, and only to provide those services to us.
• Where required by law — in response to a lawful request from a court, regulator, or law enforcement.

How long we keep it

We retain messaging records for as long as needed to maintain our professional relationship with you and to evidence consent and opt-out requests, and thereafter as required by applicable law.

Your choices

You may ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You may withdraw consent to text messaging at any time as described in section 6. Contact us using the details below.
